Accounts Assistant – Xero / Bookkeeping (Study Support, Progression Role)

Cardiff, CF3 2PZ (Fully Office-Based)

£29,000 – £32,000 per year

Full-time, permanent (40 hours per week)

We are a growing business seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant with strong Xero and bookkeeping skills to join our team at our Cardiff HQ.

This is not an entry-level role. Applicants must have hands-on experience with Xero and bookkeeping.

Key Responsibilities:

- Day-to-day bookkeeping and financial record maintenance

- Sales and purchase invoicing

- Bank reconciliations in Xero

- Supporting and taking ownership of payroll over time

- Month-end support and reporting

- Credit control and accounts receivable

- General finance administration

Requirements:

- Proven bookkeeping experience (essential)

- Hands-on experience using Xero (essential)

- Actively studying AAT Level 3/4 or ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent experience)

- Strong attention to detail and organisation

- Able to work independently and take ownership

Desirable:

- Payroll experience

- Experience in an SME / growing business
