Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and physically fit Bed and Furniture Delivery Driver / Warehouse Operative to join our team. This role involves delivering Mattress and Bed items to customers’ homes, as well as assisting in warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in delivery driving, possess excellent communication skills, and be comfortable with heavy lifting. You will play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive their orders promptly and in perfect condition, while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a commercial vehicle or lorry to deliver beds and furniture to customer premises across the local area.
Load and unload furniture items with care, ensuring items are secure during transit.
Assist customers with the placement and assembly of furniture upon delivery, providing excellent customer service.
Support warehouse operations by organising stock, preparing goods for dispatch, and assisting with heavy lifting tasks as required.

Requirements

Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably within the furniture or logistics sector.
Valid driver’s licence with a reasonably clean driving record.
Experience in commercial driving, including operating large vehicles or lorries.
Previous warehouse experience is advantageous, particularly with heavy lifting or manual handling tasks.
Ability to lift heavy furniture items safely and efficiently.
Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members.
Organised, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Physically fit with good organisational skills to manage deliveries efficiently. This role offers an opportunity to join a dynamic team committed to delivering quality service while maintaining high safety standards. Pay: From £32,000.00 per year
