Housekeeper - £13998.46 salary working 20 hours per week Monday - Friday, between the hours of 4-8pm

We are celebrating our commitment to the Real Living Wage as one of the only accredited childcare providers in the South West, looking for a helpful and organised housekeeper to join our team at Nursery Village.

As our Nursery Housekeeper, you will be responsible for the daily upkeep and cleaning of all nursery rooms including staff areas, halls and toilet areas. Following the children's afternoon meal time you will support the rooms by clearing and cleaning away after the children have eaten. The role also involves ensuring the nursery washing is completed daily and kitchen and laundry room are kept tidy and organised

Experience of cleaning a nursery environment or similar
Ability to work as a team member and organise own workload

Be responsible for the daily upkeep and cleaning of all nursery rooms, halls and toilet areas
To help maintain a safe and hygienic, child-centred environment
To take any action required to ensure the safety and welfare of children and to report any concern immediately to the Nursery Manager
Work with the nursery team to keep the building and its areas clean, tidy and welcoming
Upkeep of laundry, e.g. washing sheets, face cloths or towels
Keeping our building safe, setting alarms and locking up as needed
Follow the latest health and safety legislation, taking part in all necessary training as required

Desirable

A Paediatric First Aid certificate
A Food Hygiene certificate

Ability to adhere to policies and procedures
Sufficient understanding and use of English
Ability to work as a team member and organise own workload
Understanding of the importance of good hygiene practice
Ability to be a reflective team member in order to develop your practice
Ability to communicate effectively with all children, staff and families
Ability to support an environment which is inclusive for all and encourages diversity

Essential

Experience of cleaning a nursery environment or similar

Desirable

Experience of working with children aged under 5
