Full job description

Overview

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Receptionist, where your energetic and organized approach will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors. In this vital role, you'll manage front-desk operations, coordinate appointments, and ensure a smooth flow of daily activities within our busy medical practice. Your positive attitude and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment that promotes excellent patient experiences and efficient clinic operations.

Responsibilities

Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing exceptional customer service from arrival to departure
Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using our practice management software
Answer incoming phone calls promptly, directing inquiries to the appropriate staff or departments
Collect and verify patient information, insurance details, and update medical records accurately
Manage administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning documents, and maintaining office supplies
Assist with billing procedures, including processing payments and explaining billing statements to patients
Ensure the reception area remains tidy, organized, and inviting at all times

Experience

Prior office experience is essential; familiarity with medical or healthcare settings is highly preferred
Proven administrative experience demonstrating strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
Proficiency in using office software such as Microsoft Office Suite and practice management systems
