Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality beverages in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop specialised skills in food and beverage preparation while contributing to a welcoming atmosphere for our customers. The position is paid and suitable for individuals who thrive on quality service and have a keen eye for detail.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
Operate coffee machines, grinders, blenders, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area in accordance with food safety standards.
Take customer orders accurately, process payments, and handle cash or card transactions efficiently.
Provide friendly and attentive service to ensure an excellent customer experience.
Restock supplies as needed, including cups, lids, condiments, and ingredients.
Follow food safety protocols at all times to ensure hygiene standards are met.
Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as toasties when required.
Manage time effectively during busy periods to minimise wait times while maintaining quality standards.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar customer service role is essential
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene.
Experience in serving customers with professionalism and friendliness.
Ability to perform basic maths accurately for cash handling and order processing.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure.
Excellent time management skills to ensure smooth operation during peak hours.
A keen interest in coffee and beverages preparation is desirable but not mandatory. This role offers an engaging environment where you can enhance your skills in hospitality while working within a supportive team dedicated to delivering exceptional service.

Pay: £12.21-£16.71 per hour
