Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and reliable Class 2 Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and logistics, looking to contribute to a dynamic organisation. The position involves operating commercial vehicles within specified routes, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining high safety standards.

Responsibilities

Safely operate Class 2 lorries in accordance with road safety regulations and company policies
Load and unload goods, ensuring proper securing of cargo during transit
Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
Plan delivery routes efficiently to meet schedules and optimise fuel consumption
Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery notes and logs
Assist with loading and unloading when required, maintaining a high standard of organisation and safety
Adhere to all health and safety procedures during daily operations
Communicate effectively with dispatch teams and clients regarding delivery schedules or issues

Experience

Proven experience in commercial driving.
Delivery driver experience is highly desirable, demonstrating familiarity with logistics operations
Valid Class 2 driving licence with a clean driving record
Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for commercial vehicle operation
Ability to handle physically demanding tasks related to loading/unloading cargo
Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently under minimal supervision
