Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Housekeeper/Kitchen Assistant to join our team. This role involves maintaining cleanliness and organisation within our facilities, ensuring a hygienic environment for staff and visitors alike. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working efficiently in a busy setting. Previous experience in care home cleaning, commercial cleaning, janitorial services, or hospital environments is highly desirable. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a professional environment while developing your skills within the hospitality and healthcare sectors.

Duties

Perform routine cleaning tasks across various areas, including bedrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces, adhering to health and safety and infection control standards.
Assist with kitchen duties such as food preparation, dishwashing, and maintaining hygiene standards in food service areas. (1 day per week including covering sickness and annual leave)
Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are well-maintained and stored appropriately, stock checks and audits will also be required
Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure recycling protocols are followed.
Restock supplies in kitchens and bathrooms as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation throughout the premises.
Support staff with additional tasks as required to promote a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

Experience

Previous experience in cleaning roles is preferred.
Experience working in hospital or healthcare settings is advantageous but not essential.
Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety procedures is desirable adhering to COSHH
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to responsibilities are essential for success in this role.
Ability to work alone and along side different teams
