Position: Retail Trainer
Location: Mobile - Full driving licence required
Employment Type: Permanent 35hrs per week
Pay: £14.25 p/h

We’re an ever growing, customer-focused family run business committed to providing exceptional service and a great shopping experience. As our team expands, we’re looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and engaging Retail Trainer to help develop, support, and inspire our store teams.

Role Overview
As a Retail Trainer, you will play a key role in ensuring our employees have the skills, knowledge, and confidence to deliver outstanding service and operational excellence. You’ll deliver effective training, support new store openings, and help maintain consistent standards across our business, also occasionally supporting stores / Post Offices or Deli’s when needed.

Key Responsibilities

· Deliver engaging in-person and on-the-job training for new and existing staff

· Develop training materials, guides, and quick-reference tools

· Coach team members on customer service, store operations, and compliance

· Support on boarding processes for new hires

· Ensure operational standards and company procedures are understood and consistently followed

· Partner with store managers to identify training needs and performance gaps

· Track progress, evaluate training effectiveness, and provide feedback to leadership

· Contribute to building a positive, supportive learning culture across the company

What we’re looking For

· Previous experience in training, or supervisory roles within retail (convenience or grocery experience is a plus)

· Strong communication and presentation skills

· Passion for people development and team success

· Ability to build rapport quickly and influence others

· Organised, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities

· Knowledge of retail operations, health & safety, and compliance standards

· Willingness to travel between store locations as required
