Job Overview - Fixed Term contract - 12 Months

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Care Navigator/Receptionist to join our dedicated healthcare team. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and organized environment. Your primary responsibilities will include managing front desk operations, coordinating patient appointments, and providing essential administrative support to facilitate smooth clinic workflows. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives while honing your administrative skills in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

Greet patients and visitors warmly, creating a positive first impression and ensuring they feel comfortable and cared for.
Manage appointment scheduling efficiently, confirming patient details and coordinating with healthcare providers to optimize daily clinic operations.
Answer incoming phone calls promptly, directing inquiries appropriately and providing accurate information about services and procedures.
Maintain accurate patient records, update electronic health records (EHR) systems, and ensure confidentiality at all times.
Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and processing paperwork to support clinical staff.
Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient flow and ensure timely service delivery.
Handle basic billing and insurance documentation, supporting the financial aspects of patient care.

Qualifications

Prior office experience or administrative experience is highly desirable, demonstrating strong organizational skills.
Excellent communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanor that fosters trust and rapport.
Ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Proficiency in office software such as Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent systems; experience with electronic health records is a plus.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations discreetly and compassionately.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
