Full job description

The Spa Manager is responsible for the overall operation, performance, and profitability of the spa department. The role involves leading the spa team, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, maintaining high operational standards, and driving revenue through effective management of treatments, memberships, retail sales, and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the spa facilities.
Ensure high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest service are maintained at all times.
Monitor booking systems, therapist schedules, and operational efficiency.
Ensure compliance with health & safety, hygiene, and company procedures.
Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate the spa team.
Conduct regular team meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews.
Manage staff rotas in line with business levels and labour budgets.
Support employee development and maintain positive team morale.
Ensure all guests receive professional, friendly, and personalised service.
Handle guest feedback, complaints, and service recovery professionally.
Maintain high guest satisfaction scores and encourage repeat business.
Drive treatment sales, retail sales, memberships, and promotions.
Monitor departmental budgets, payroll, stock control, and cost management.
Analyse revenue performance and implement strategies to improve profitability.
Work closely with sales and marketing teams on spa promotions and packages.
Ensure all records, reports, and documentation are maintained accurately.
Monitor stock levels and coordinate ordering of spa products and supplies.
Ensure therapists hold valid qualifications and comply with company standards.
Maintain compliance with all company policies and legal requirements.

Requirements

Previous experience in a Spa Manager role.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Good understanding of spa operations, treatments, and wellness services.
Commercially aware with experience managing budgets and revenue targets.
Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and holidays.
Proficient in booking systems and Microsoft Office.

Desirable

NVQ Level 3 Beauty Therapy (or equivalent).
Experience within hotel spa operations.
Knowledge of spa retail and membership sales.

Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
