We are recruiting a Non-Clinical Pathway Auditor to work on the Pan HUC contract in Hertfordshire.

To undertake effective call audits to ensure compliance and effective use of the NHS Pathways system and continually improve the quality of the 111 service.

The Auditors will work together with the Quality & Improvement Leads, to ensure that Health and Service Advisors are fully supported in their roles and monthly audits are completed in line with CCG and Pathways license requirements.

Main duties of the job

To be trained and fully confident and proficient in the NHS Pathways system.

To understand the eight call handler competencies and accompanying indicators, ensuring that the audits are consistent and safe.

To participate in the Health Advisor’s development working with the Service Managers on appraisals and probationary reviews.

To have knowledge of escalation policies and emergency procedures as necessary and highlight any concerns to the Quality and Improvement Lead.

Ensuring all documentation in relation to Personal Development Plans are kept up to date

Ensure Pathways Updates are completed in a timely manner.

Working together with the Quality and Improvement Leads in developing performance plans for Health/Service Advisors on Level One/Level Two Performance.

To work in line with the HUC Audit Performance Process.

Provide constructive feedback of audited calls to call handlers

To develop and implement performance related development plans.

To attend cross site call reviews as and when required.

To participate in audit levelling sessions.

Person specification

Knowledge and Experience

Essential criteria

Mathematics and English at GCSE or equivalent
Knowledge of HUC and a commitment to achieving its vision, purpose, and objectives
Good and accurate IT, including Microsoft packages as well as good keyboard skills.
Completion of the NHS 111 Coaching Course or Super User Module
Fully confident and proficient in the NHS Pathways system and the internal processes
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Assertiveness and willingness to challenge unacceptable practice.
Able to listen carefully and record details accurately.
Able to work flexibly during the Out of Hours period to include weekends and evenings which will include Go Live audits, or short notice feedback.
Be willing to learn additional SOPs for other HUC contracts
Previous audit experience.

Desirable criteria

Previous coaching experience
Experience of delivering positive and constructive feedback
