Full job description

As Buston and Maughan continue with their ongoing growth they are now seeking an experienced Solar Roofer to strengthen their existing team. Working as part of our installation team, you’ll carry out solar maintenance and solar PV installation work, ensuring every project is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standard across the North East.

You will use your roofing expertise to identify issues, recommend solutions and support customers throughout the installation journey, helping to create warmer, more sustainable homes.

Your responsibilities will include:

Diagnosing and repairing a wide range of roofing issues on pitched and flat roofs
Installing solar PV mounting systems and solar panels in line with industry standards and regulations
Managing roofing projects from start to finish, including material preparation, installation and site clean-up
Using company systems to receive, update and close jobs, including uploading photographs and job notes
Maintaining high standards of workmanship and right-first-time delivery
Building positive relationships with residents, clients and colleagues
Ensuring work areas are left safe, tidy and ready for customer use
Following health and safety procedures at all times, particularly when working at height
Supporting installation teams with technical roofing expertise when required

Experience carrying out roofing repairs and installations
Knowledge of solar PV installations and MCS regulations
Experience working safely at height
Understanding of site health and safety requirements
Knowledge of PV mounting systems
Strong communication and customer service skills
A professional and positive approach to work
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
A proactive and self-motivated mindset

Essential

Full UK driving Licence
NVQ Level 2 in a roofing discipline
PV Roofing qualification

Pay: £38,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
