About Century Training Academy

Century Training Academy is an independent training provider dedicated to helping young people develop practical skills, confidence, and pathways into employment. We deliver engaging vocational programmes that inspire learners through hands-on education and real-world experiences.

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Motorbike Mechanics Tutor to join our growing team.

The Role

As a Motorbike Mechanics Tutor, you will use your industry knowledge and practical skills to deliver engaging workshop-based learning. You will support learners to develop technical competence, employability skills, confidence, and a positive attitude towards learning.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced motorcycle technician looking to move into education, or for an existing tutor seeking a rewarding role where they can make a genuine difference to young people's lives.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver practical motorbike maintenance and repair sessions.
Plan and prepare engaging vocational learning activities.
Support learners of varying abilities to achieve their individual goals.
Maintain a safe, organised, and professional workshop environment.
Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback.
Promote positive behaviour, attendance, and engagement.
Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents/carers, and external agencies where required.

Essential Requirements

Proven experience working as a motorcycle mechanic or motorcycle technician.
Strong practical knowledge of motorcycle maintenance, servicing, and repairs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to motivate and engage young people.
Good organisational and record-keeping skills.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Desirable Requirements

Teaching, training, assessing, or mentoring experience.
Teaching qualification (PTLLS, AET, Cert Ed, PGCE, or equivalent).
Assessor qualification.
Experience working with young people in education, training, apprenticeships, or alternative provision settings.
