Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management, with a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead culinary operations, supervise staff, and uphold the highest standards of food safety and quality. The successful applicant will be responsible for creating innovative menus, managing kitchen staff, and ensuring efficient food production in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth and efficient food preparation and service
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management
Prepare high-quality dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
Develop new menu items that reflect current culinary trends and customer preferences
Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control to minimise waste
Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery
Lead by example in maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
Assist in serving customers when required, providing excellent hospitality

Experience

Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
Strong background in food production, culinary techniques, and food safety standards
Extensive knowledge of menu development, food presentation, and cooking methods
Experience in managing kitchen operations during busy periods with efficiency and professionalism
Familiarity with restaurant service procedures and customer service excellence is desirable
