Full job description

Good admin is important to do our best work.

We are growing and we like things to be organised, which is where you might be able to help us.

To free up time for our designers to design and myself to be available for other tasks I'm looking for someone to take away some of the routine admin tasks from us.

Tasks:

Checking supplier invoices and entering them into Xero accounts (If you've not used Xero before I will teach you - it's simple data entry)
Calling suppliers to ensure deliveries will arrive when we've asked for them.

Skills:

You must be comfortable working on a computer, think: touch typing levels of speed & knowing common keyboard shortcuts
Be able to follow processes and systems, understanding how the parts you are doing interact with parts other people do.
A knowledge of spreadsheets & formulas is important
Experience of working in admin roles

Location:

Working in our showroom in Boughton under Blean, near Faversham.
There's free parking and we're also on the bus route between Faversham and Canterbury

Hours:

Time of day & which day is negotiable but must be on a routine. EG: maybe it could be Tuesday 10:00-13:00 or Wednesday 14:00-17:00.
We're assuming 3 hours per week as a minimum on one day, up to 6 hours per week may be possible (maybe split over two days) if a) we have enough work to generate that level of admin or b) you're willing to do other things we need to do that aren't directly admin related.

This is a self employed role:

You will need to be registered for self assessment and doing your own tax return.
You need to tell me your hourly rate when you apply. Remember if you're new to being self employed, there is no holiday pay so you should factor that into your hourly rate.
