Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Kitchen Staff to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting food preparation, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and assisting in delivering excellent service to our customers. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop culinary skills within a professional environment, contributing to the smooth operation of our kitchen facilities.

Responsibilities

Assist with meal preparation and food presentation in accordance with established recipes and standards
Support the cooking process, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of dishes
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing utensils, equipment, and work surfaces
Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers
Help with catering events as required, ensuring all food is prepared to high standards
Serve food to customers in a courteous and professional manner when needed
Assist in stock control by monitoring ingredients and supplies, notifying management of shortages or expiry dates
Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth kitchen operations

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or catering environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is advantageous
Basic cooking skills and familiarity with meal preparation techniques are preferred
Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork
Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends or evenings if necessary
A genuine interest in culinary arts and customer service excellence
