Quality & Production Operative

Mid Kent – drivers with own transport preferred due to location & start time

£12.86 per hour + full training + overtime possible + progression + bens

Monday–Friday Hours: 7:30am–4:00pm Monday–Thursday, 7:30am–1:30pm Friday

Are you hands-on, practical and someone who takes real pride in the quality of their work?

We're recruiting for an established manufacturing business looking for a Quality & Production Operative to join their team.

This is a varied shop-floor role combining quality checking, finishing and general production duties. It would suit someone from a manufacturing, engineering or workshop background who has good attention to detail and isn't afraid to get stuck in.

What you'll be doing

Carrying out final quality checks on manufactured components
Spotting defects or anything that doesn't meet the required standard
Completing finishing work using hand tools
Making sure products are finished correctly before leaving production
Recording completed work accurately on computer systems
Preparing finished products for packing and despatch
Keeping your work area clean, organised and safe
Supporting other areas of production when needed

What we're looking for

Experience within manufacturing, engineering, production or a workshop environment
Good attention to detail and an eye for quality
Comfortable working with hand tools
A practical, hands-on approach
Able to follow written and verbal instructions
Basic computer skills
Reliable, flexible and a good team player
Previous quality, inspection or finishing experience would be an advantage, but isn't essential
