Full job description

About the Role:

Grow With Z Digital Finance is looking for a Finance Assistant to join our London team. You will support the daily financial operations of the business, helping maintain accurate records, process transactions and prepare information for internal reporting.

This role is suitable for someone who is organised, careful with numbers and comfortable working with financial systems. You will work closely with colleagues across finance, operations and customer support to make sure payments, invoices and account records are completed accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities:

Invoice Processing:

Review, record and process supplier invoices while checking that the information is complete and properly authorised.

Accounts Payable Support:

Prepare payment information, update supplier records and help ensure invoices are paid within agreed terms.

Accounts Receivable Support:

Record customer payments, monitor outstanding balances and assist with routine payment follow ups.

Bank Reconciliation:

Compare bank transactions with internal financial records and investigate any differences.

Expense Management:

Review employee expense claims, check supporting documents and record approved expenses accurately.

Transaction Recording:

Enter financial transactions into the accounting system using the correct account codes and references.

Financial Records:

Maintain organised digital records for invoices, receipts, payments and other supporting documents.

Reporting Support:

Prepare basic financial summaries, spreadsheets and account information for regular internal reporting.

Payment Support:

Assist with payment runs and confirm that approved payment details are accurate before processing.

Query Resolution:

Respond to routine questions from suppliers, customers and internal colleagues regarding invoices and payments.

Month End Support:

Help prepare account schedules, reconciliations and supporting documents for month end activities.

Process Compliance:

Follow internal finance procedures, approval requirements and data protection standards.

What We Are Looking For:

Experience:

Previous experience in finance administration, bookkeeping, accounts support or a similar office based role is preferred.

Financial Knowledge:

Basic understanding of invoices, payments, expenses, bank transactions and account reconciliation.

Software Skills:

Experience using accounting software, Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets is desirable.

Numerical Accuracy:

Strong attention to detail and the ability to enter and review financial information accurately.

Organisation:

Ability to manage several tasks, maintain clear records and complete work within agreed deadlines.

Communication:

Good spoken and written English with the confidence to communicate professionally with colleagues, customers and suppliers.

Confidentiality:

Ability to handle financial and business information responsibly and discreetly.

Problem Solving:

Ability to identify missing information, investigate simple discrepancies and ask for support when necessary.

Mindset:

You are dependable, methodical and willing to learn. You take ownership of your work, check details carefully and understand the importance of accurate financial records.

Pay: £2,350.00-£2,700.00 per month
