Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Painter & Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for transforming spaces through their artistry and attention to detail. This role requires a strong understanding of various painting techniques, colour theory, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members. A valid driving licence is essential for transporting materials and accessing various job sites.

Duties

Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes as necessary.
Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
Mix colours and match paint samples to achieve desired results.
Ensure all work is completed to a high standard of quality and within specified timeframes.
Communicate with clients to understand their vision and provide expert advice on colour choices and finishes.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
Keep work areas tidy and organised throughout the duration of each project.

Experience

Proven experience in painting and decorating is preferred but not essential for those willing to learn.
Strong ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing, to effectively liaise with clients and colleagues.
A valid driving licence is required for travel between job sites.
Knowledge of different painting techniques and materials will be advantageous.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism at all times.
