Job Summary

Join our dynamic culinary team as a Kitchen Assistant/Kitchen Porter, where your energy and dedication will help create a seamless and efficient kitchen environment. In this vital role, you will support the culinary staff by maintaining cleanliness, assisting with meal and food preparation, and ensuring all kitchen operations run smoothly. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will contribute to delivering high-quality service in a fast-paced setting, making every dining experience memorable for our guests.

Duties

Assist with basic food and meal preparation under the supervision of chefs or kitchen managers
Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including washing dishes, utensils, and cookware
Support food safety protocols by adhering to hygiene standards and proper storage procedures
Help with organizing ingredients, supplies, and kitchen equipment for efficient workflow
Serve food and beverages to guests or staff as directed, ensuring prompt and courteous service
Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure the kitchen remains tidy at all times
Support the team during busy periods by performing general porter duties such as moving supplies or equipment

Skills

Previous experience in catering, restaurant, or food service environments essential.
Knowledge of cooking techniques and meal preparation processes
Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Good communication skills for effective teamwork and customer service
Willingness to learn new skills related to culinary operations and food handling
