About Us

We’re a busy, independent specialty café in London serving Australian-style brunch, gourmet toasties, and house-made cakes. We pride ourselves on high-quality ingredients, warm hospitality, and a relaxed but efficient kitchen environment.

The Role

We’re looking for a reliable, skilled, and motivated Cook to join our small but fast-paced team. This is a hands-on role in a compact kitchen where teamwork, organisation, and consistency are key.

You’ll be responsible for preparing and plating food to a high standard under the guidance of professional food stylist, who is the co-owner, and also for supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen.

Key ResponsibilitiesFood Preparation & Service

· Prepare and cook Australian-style brunch dishes

· Prepare and assemble gourmet toasties and seasonal specials

· Baking and preparing house-made cakes and sweet treats to in house recipes

· Ensure consistency in presentation, portioning, and quality

· Maintain high standards during busy service periods

Kitchen Operations

· Wash dishes and maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment

· Follow food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards at all times

· Keep accurate food temperature logs and food safety records (HACCP compliance)

· Manage stock rotation (FIFO) and minimise waste

· Assist with stock takes and ordering supplies

· Receive and check deliveries

Teamwork

· Work closely with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service

· Support colleagues during busy shifts

· Contribute ideas for specials and menu development

What We’re Looking For

· Experience working in a café or brunch-led kitchen (preferred)

· Skilled in preparing food consistently to a high standard

· Calm, organised, and efficient under pressure in a busy service environment

· Solid understanding of food hygiene, HACCP, and health & safety requirements

· Happy to take a hands-on approach to cleaning, dishwashing, and daily kitchen operations

· Team-oriented, with the ability to work closely with the current team and learn directly from the co-owner, an experienced food stylist

· Reliable, hardworking, and proactive with a positive attitude

· Flexible and available to work weekends as required
