Full job description

The Elms Surgery is looking for a part-time surgery receptionist preferably with EMIS/Systemone knowledge for approx 10-15 hours per week. This role requires a calm persona, attention to detail, caring attitude, working as a team and the ability to multitask and work well under pressure. The reception team is exceptionally supportive and we are looking for a person who will fit into the practice ‘can do’ attitude.

Key Responsibilities

To ensure all visitors and telephone callers are greeted in a caring and professional manner
Processing requests for appointments and ensuring callers are directed to the appropriate healthcare professional
EMIS data entry
Docman scanning
Answering phone calls and greeting patients face to face
Booking/cancelling appointments
Registering new patients
Patient queries
Processing repeat prescriptions
Monitoring and actioning surgery emails
Managing difficult patients
Supporting the wider team in the day to day running of the practice
Experience in clinical system EMIS or working in a doctors surgery is required.

You will be requested to cover holidays and absences which could be ongoing throughout the year. We work 2 sessions per day, 8am-1.30pm & 1.30-6.30pm Monday - Friday. Please only apply if these shifts meet your availability.
