Full job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptional Head Chef to lead the kitchen at the award-winning restaurant at Langley Castle.

We are seeking a passionate culinary leader with proven experience in a two AA Rosette, or equivalent fine dining environment, who can maintain and enhance our reputation for excellence.

Essential Requirements

Proven experience as a Head Chef, or Senior Sous Chef ready for promotion, within a two AA Rosette or comparable fine dining operation
Professional culinary qualification, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent
Demonstrable success in delivering and maintaining two AA Rosette standards
Strong commercial awareness with experience managing food costs, labour costs, GP, and budgets
Excellent leadership, training, and people management skills
Sound knowledge of HACCP, COSHH, food safety legislation, and Health and Safety compliance

Key Responsibilities

Lead and develop a high-performing kitchen brigade
Deliver exceptional food quality, consistency, and presentation
Create seasonal menus using high-quality, locally sourced ingredients and exciting daily specials for fine dining
Recruit, develop, and lead a team of exceptional performers
Manage kitchen operations, stock control, purchasing, and supplier relationships
Control food costs, labour costs, and kitchen budgets
Ensure full compliance with food safety and Health and Safety regulations
