Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Commis Chef / Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, assisting in kitchen operations, and ensuring food safety standards are maintained. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their culinary skills within a professional environment. The position is paid and suitable for those with a genuine interest in food preparation and restaurant service.

Duties

Assist in the preparation and cooking of a variety of dishes according to recipes and standards
Ensure all food is prepared to the highest quality and presented attractively
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations in compliance with food safety regulations
Support the team during busy service periods, ensuring timely meal delivery
Follow all health and safety guidelines diligently, including proper handling of ingredients and equipment
Contribute to menu development by suggesting new ideas and techniques
Assist with stock control, including receiving deliveries and storing ingredients appropriately
Serve food to customers when required, maintaining excellent customer service standards

Experience

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen roles within a restaurant or hospitality environment
Knowledge of culinary techniques and meal preparation methods
Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices
Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment is desirable
Prior experience in serving customers or working front-of-house is advantageous but not essential
