About the role
We’re looking for a proactive and hands-on Delivery Driver / Stores Assistant to join our Asset & Technology Solutions team. Based at our Shotts depot in Scotland, with travel to sites across the region, you’ll play a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly by supporting the management of plant, stock, and delivering equipment.
This is a varied, hands-on role with a strong focus on travelling across Scotland to deliver equipment to sites, alongside occasional depot-based responsibilities to support day-to-day operations.
What you'll be doing
- Managing plant, tools, and stock to ensure availability across projects
- Coordinating deliveries and collections of equipment to and from site
- Loading/unloading deliveries and checking quality and quantities
- Supporting hiring, off-hiring, and tracking of plant and equipment
- Maintaining accurate stock records and reporting on stock levels
- Supporting calibration processes for tools and lifting equipment
- Ensuring yard security, organisation, and high housekeeping standards
- Liaising with operational teams to meet project requirements
Who we're looking for
- Full UK driving licence
- Confident and comfortable driving long distances for extended periods
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Able to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Willing to go the extra mile to support operational needs
- Good understanding of systems and processes
