Part-Time Office Administrator / Accounts Admin Assistant

Location: Chorley office — office-based
Job type: Part-time
Hours: Monday to Friday, approx. 9:00am to 2:30pm / 3:00pm
Weekly hours: Approx. 27.5–30 hours per week
Pay: £13.50–£15.00 per hour, depending on experience
Start date: Immediate start preferred

About the role

Almond Estates is looking for a highly organised, accurate and detail-focused Part-Time Office Administrator / Accounts Administrative Assistant to join our team at our Chorley office.

This role would suit someone who enjoys structure, accuracy and keeping things properly organised. We are a busy residential house building business, so we need someone who can bring consistency, reliability and a strong eye for detail to the office, admin and accounts side of the company.

The most important requirement for this role is exceptional attention to detail. We are looking for someone who checks their work carefully, spots errors, keeps documents organised and makes sure information is filed and recorded properly.

Main responsibilities

The role will include:

Raising purchase orders
Checking purchase orders against supplier quotes
Managing the quotes inbox
Supporting the accounts inbox
Using Xero
Filing quotes, invoices, purchase orders and supplier emails correctly
Liaising with suppliers and internal team members
Checking details such as supplier names, prices, dates, VAT, site/project references and descriptions
Following up where information is missing or unclear
Helping improve office systems, admin processes and document control
Keeping records accurate, organised and easy to find

We are looking for someone who is:

Extremely organised
Accurate and detail-focused
Methodical in how they work
Reliable and consistent
Confident handling emails and documents
Comfortable checking information carefully
Able to work well in a busy office environment
Happy to ask questions when something is unclear
Confident communicating with suppliers and internal team members
Able to work from our Chorley office Monday to Friday

The strongest candidates will have experience in one or more of the following:

Office administration
Accounts administration
Bookkeeping support
Purchase orders
Supplier invoices
Supplier quotes
Xero
Filing and document control
Construction, property or house building admin

Xero experience and purchase order experience would be preferred, but the main priority is finding someone with the right level of accuracy, organisation and attention to detail.

We need someone who will:

Check information before it is processed
Spot mistakes or missing details
Keep documents filed correctly
Match quotes, purchase orders and invoices carefully
Follow processes properly
Keep inboxes organised
Take pride in accurate admin work
Help create better structure within the office

This is an office-based role at our Chorley office.

The hours are expected to be approximately:

Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 2:30pm / 3:00pm

This is around 27.5–30 hours per week.
