FEMALE Carer / Support Worker – Personal Care & Domestic Support

IMMEDIATE START!!!

Are you a compassionate and dependable female carer who enjoys helping people maintain their daily routines and home environment? We are seeking dedicated Self Employed Carers to assist elderly clients with personal care, medication management and household tasks in Medway: Gillingham.

This is a great opportunity for carers looking for consistent work with a mix of morning and flexible shifts.

The Role:

Our client is a middle aged lady living with transverse myelitis and complex spinal and neurological conditions. She is bedbound and requires full support with all aspects of her daily care. The client lives at home with her daughter and enjoys the companionship of her elderly dog and cat, who are calm and settled members of the household.

This is a double-up care package, with carers working together to safely meet the client's moving and handling and personal care needs while ensuring the highest standard of care is maintained.

This role is well suited to an experienced and dedicated care professional who is committed to making a positive difference in the lives of individuals with complex needs.

Shift pattern:

Weekday: 4-5pm & 8-8.45pm.

Weekend (higher rate): 10-11am, 3-4pm & 8-8.45pm

We currently have a high demand for support in these areas, with a number of clients requiring assistance at various times during the day.

Please note that we are unable to offer visa sponsorship now or in the foreseeable future. Applicants must already have the legal right to work in the UK. We are happy to be flexible and accommodate working hours (if limited).

We are also are unable to offer positions to Students as this is a self employed role.

Chime Care is a friendly domiciliary care company, supporting people to stay comfortable and independent in their own homes. Most of our work is made up of hourly visits to clients, where you might be helping with personal care, daily routines, or just providing a bit of company.

We offer work on a self-employed basis, so it’s flexible and can fit around your availability. If you like the idea of working independently, getting out and about, and building regular connections with people in their own homes, this could be a great fit. We also offer free training if experience is limited.

Successful candidates:

Previous experience within a care setting is required
Knowledge of Dementia/Elderly care
Strong interpersonal skills with patience and empathy
A caring, respectful and professional approach
Good organisational ability when completing care documentation
Background in care, personal care or support roles (domiciliary care is desirable)
First aid training is desirable

Requirements:

Right to work in the UK
Enhanced DBS within the last 3 years
Experience in domiciliary or support work
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (desirable)
Clear spoken and written English
Experience assisting clients with personal care
Dependable and punctual
Calm, considerate and respectful manner
Well-organised with a strong commitment to preserving client dignity and independence
