Job Summary

SELF EMPLOYED ROLE

50 HOURS PER WEEK 6am to 4pm

UTR NUMBER NEEDED

We are seeking a dedicated Labourer to support various construction, landscaping, and maintenance projects. The successful candidate will be involved in a range of physical tasks, including gardening, horticulture, and general site upkeep. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with a variety of tools and machinery, contributing to the successful completion of diverse projects. Candidates should be physically fit, reliable, and eager to learn new skills in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Assisting with landscape maintenance, gardening, and horticultural tasks to ensure the aesthetic and functional quality of outdoor spaces
Operating hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment such as excavators under supervision
Supporting construction activities including site preparation, material movement, and basic assembly tasks
Maintaining irrigation systems and ensuring their proper functioning across different sites
Conducting routine maintenance on tools and machinery to ensure safety and efficiency
Assisting with general site clearance, debris removal, and organisation of materials
Supporting team members with various labour-intensive duties to meet project deadlines

Qualifications

Prior experience in landscape maintenance, gardening or horticulture is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Mechanical knowledge or experience with power tools and construction equipment is advantageous
Familiarity with hand tools such as spades, rakes, hammers, and saws
Experience operating excavators or other heavy machinery is a plus but not mandatory
Knowledge of irrigation systems and basic site maintenance procedures is beneficial
Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour for extended periods are essential
Previous construction experience or working within a similar labouring role is preferred but not required
A proactive attitude with good organisational skills and the ability to work safely in a team environment

Pay: £12.72-£15.00 per hour
