Wholesale Account Manager (Part-Time)

Hours: 8 hours/week.

Part Time: 2 half-days per week (flexible on which days)

Location: DE12 8LN. This is an in-person role, not remote.

About us

J.J. Textile is an independent British homeware brand, designing wool throws, cushions and accessories inspired by the British countryside and the natural world. Our pieces are ethically sourced and made in partnership with skilled manufacturers we've worked with for years. We supply a growing network of independent shops and wholesale stockists across the UK, and we're a small, close-knit team who like to keep those relationships personal. We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys that kind of environment - where you wear a few hats, know everyone you work with, and your work has a direct, visible impact.

About the Role

We're looking for a warm, organised and proactive Wholesale Account Manager to become the main point of contact for our wholesale customer base. This is a relationship-first role: you'll be the friendly, reliable voice our stockists hear from regularly and the person who makes sure every new collection lands with them at the right time, with the right support.

This isn't a back-office admin role. While there's an operational side to it, the heart of the job is building trust with our wholesale customers, keeping them engaged and encouraging them to promote and sell our new collections. You'll be part account manager, part relationship-builder, part sales support.

What You'll Be Doing

Owning wholesale customer relationships – be the go-to contact for our existing stockists, building rapport and keeping communication warm and consistent
Managing our customer database – keeping records accurate, up to date, and organised so we always know where each account stands
Driving collection launches – proactively reaching out to customers about new collections, encouraging them to buy in and promote them to their own customers
Regular check-ins – calling and emailing customers to see how they're getting on, spot opportunities and keep the relationship active
Guiding customers through the sales funnel – moving enquiries and existing accounts toward orders, reorders and bigger commitments
Handling enquiries – responding promptly and helpfully to enquiries that come in online, by email and by phone
Processing trade applications – reviewing and onboarding new wholesale accounts
Trade shows – attending trade shows bi-annually where you will meet customers face-to-face, strengthening relationships and generating new leads

What We're Looking For

Excellent communication skills, written and verbal – you're just as comfortable on the phone as you are writing an email
A naturally relationship-driven, people-first approach – you enjoy checking in with people and genuinely want to see them succeed
Comfortable with follow-up and gentle persistence – you can nudge without annoying
Organised and detail-oriented, especially when it comes to keeping customer records accurate
Some experience in account management, sales or customer service (wholesale/trade experience is a bonus but not essential)
Willingness and availability to travel to trade shows
