Overview

Join our residential care home kitchen team, where your passion for food and dedication to excellent service will shine! In this role, you will be an essential part of creating memorable dining experiences by preparing and serving delicious meals with precision and care. Your enthusiasm for food preparation, and safety, will help us deliver top-quality dishes that delight every resident.

Duties

Prepare ingredients and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
Assist in meal preparation, ensuring timely delivery of meals.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering strictly to food safety protocol.
Support team members in food plating, and presentation to enhance visual appeal
Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for everyone
Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to keep the kitchen running smoothly

Experience

Previous experience in food preparation or cooking is preferred
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling techniques is highly desirable
Hands-on kitchen experience demonstrating proficiency in meal preparation and cooking techniques
Strong understanding of culinary practices, including ingredient selection and food presentation
Good team ethos
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
