Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Full Time Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee daily operations within a vibrant hospitality environment, ensuring exceptional service and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, a passion for food and beverage service, and previous experience in supervising or managing within a restaurant, hotel, or similar setting.

Duties

Assist in the day-to-day management of the establishment, ensuring smooth operations across all departments
Supervise and support staff including front of house and bar staff to deliver outstanding customer service
Oversee bar and cellar organisation and standards
Oversee food preparation and ensure adherence to food safety standards and regulations
Coordinate with kitchen staff on food production, presentation, and quality control
Manage reservations, assist with rota organisation, and optimise labour resources
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the premises
Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction
Support training programmes for new staff members in service procedures and health & safety protocols
Assist with stock control, ordering supplies, and managing inventory levels

Skills

Proven supervisory or team management experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members
Experience in restaurant, pub or bar management is highly desirable
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Exceptional communication skills to liaise effectively with staff and customers
Knowledge of hospitality operations including restaurant experience or hotel experience is advantageous
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
A proactive approach to problem-solving with a focus on delivering excellent customer service
