Job Summary
PappaRoti Blackburn are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our new culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety are maintained.

This role is ideal for someone with proven experience in a busy breakfast/brunch kitchen who takes pride in quality, consistency, and presentation.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a diverse range of dishes according to recipes and presentation standards. Our new menu features Breakfast, Brunch & Lunch Favourites, from classic Full English Breakfasts and Shakshuka to Salads, Granola Bowls, Pastas, and Sandwiches.
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety and hygiene regulations
Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative ideas
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils
Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to minimise waste
Collaborate with team members to deliver efficient service during busy periods
Serve food to guests in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring customer satisfaction
Follow health and safety procedures at all times, including proper handling of food and cleaning protocols
Work efficiently during busy service periods
Be able to work in a smaller team and sometimes alone where necessary

Experience

Proven experience as a breakfast/brunch chef (essential)
Strong knowledge of egg-based and brunch-style cooking, including all egg cooking methods, steak cooking, french toast and other dishes
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and culinary trends
Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene regulations
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail, in a fast paced environment
Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
Attention to detail and pride in presentation, with consistent plating decoration and dressing
