Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable General Builder to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a variety of building tasks, ensuring high standards of workmanship and safety. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with diverse construction skills to contribute to a range of projects, from residential to commercial developments. The position is paid and suitable for those eager to develop their expertise within the construction industry.

Responsibilities

Carry out carpentry, roofing, masonry, and general building tasks with precision and attention to detail
Perform construction painting and decorating as required on various sites
Install plumbing systems and electrical components in accordance with safety standards and regulations
Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete assigned tasks
Fabricate and modify building components as necessary to meet project specifications
Assist with site preparation, material handling, and clean-up to ensure a safe working environment
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines and quality standards
Adhere strictly to health and safety protocols at all times during work activities

Qualifications

Proven experience in carpentry, roofing, masonry, or general building work is essential
Knowledge of construction painting, plumbing, welding, electrical systems, and fabrication is highly desirable
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specifications accurately
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently
Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving
Relevant certifications or qualifications in construction trades are advantageous but not mandatory

Pay: £15.50 per hour
