Job Summary
We are seeking a Machine Operator/Labourer to join our manufacturing team. This role involves operating various machinery, assisting with machining tasks. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical knowledge and experience with machinery, contributing to efficient production operations. This position offers hands-on experience in an industrial environment, with opportunities for skill development and career progression.

Duties

Operate and monitor machinery including lathes, and other equipment
Assist with materials handling and organisation within the warehouse or production area
Use hand tools and tooling to assemble components or perform maintenance on equipment
Read technical drawings .
Un loading/loading of lorries.
Packing and organising finished jobs
Conduct basic measurements and calculations using mathematical skills to verify dimensions and tolerances.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to safety standards at all times

Qualifications

Familiarity with machining, and the use of hand tools
Mechanical aptitude with understanding of materials handling and tooling procedures
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Physical capability to handle materials and operate machinery safely

This role is ideal for individuals eager to develop their technical skills within a manufacturing setting. Candidates should demonstrate a proactive attitude towards safety, quality, and teamwork.

Pay: £13.00-£16.00 per hour
