Role: Teaching Assistant
Location: Rotherham
Salary: £95-£105 per day (Depending on experience and/or qualifications)
Contract: Long term Supply

About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child with Autism within a school setting in Rotherham. This is a full-time position starting in September and offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference to a child's educational journey and personal development.

The Role

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with a pupil with Autism, supporting their learning, social interaction, communication, and emotional wellbeing throughout the school day. You will collaborate with class teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to ensure the child can access the curriculum and thrive within the school environment.

Key Responsibilities

· Support the learning and development of children within the Nursery setting

· Deliver engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework

· Promote children’s social, emotional, language, and physical development

· Support children through play-based learning opportunities

· Build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff

· Assist with observations, assessments, and learning records

· Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all pupils at all times

Role Overview:
We are looking for a motivated individual who is passionate about supporting children’s learning and development. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to help create a positive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment.

Requirements
Salary is dependent on experience, qualifications and training. All successful applicants will:

· Experience in working with children in a school or specialist setting

· A nurturing, patient and consistent approach

· Have referenceable experience working in a school setting.

· Be passionate about education, with a desire to help young people thrive.

· Be an excellent communicator with a positive, can-do attitude.

· Ideally hold a full, clean driving licence and have access to vehicle.
