Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a solid understanding of warehouse processes. This role is crucial in ensuring efficient logistics, materials handling, and team management within a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Supervise daily warehouse operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Manage and lead a team of warehouse staff, providing training and support to enhance performance and productivity.
Oversee shipping and receiving processes, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfilment.
Coordinate logistics activities, including inventory management, stock control, and materials handling.

Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to maintain operational efficiency.
Facilitate communication between departments to ensure smooth workflow across the supply chain.
Implement best practices for heavy lifting techniques to ensure the safety of all team members.

Experience

Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory role or similar position is essential.
Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of warehouse operations are required.
Experience with logistics, shipping, receiving, and materials handling is highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability to manage teams effectively while fostering a positive work environment.
Familiarity with 3PL (third-party logistics) operations is an advantage.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced setting.
