Dementia Support Worker – Haviland House, Goring-by-Sea
Please note: We are unable to offer sponsorship.

At Haviland House, Guild Care’s dedicated home for people living with dementia, you’ll provide reassurance, comfort, and safety while residents rest. No experience required, full training provided. We value compassion and attitude above all else.

Hours & Shift Options

Part-time and full-time contracts
24–48 hours per week
Night shifts: 8pm–8am

Alternative weekends required for full-time roles

About The Role

About the Role

As a Night Dementia Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping residents living with dementia feel safe, calm, and supported throughout the night. Your work will include:

Providing compassionate, person‑centred care
Supporting residents who may wake, feel unsettled, or need reassurance
Promoting dignity, comfort, and emotional wellbeing during quieter hours
Assisting with evening and morning routines
Working collaboratively with a supportive night team
Maintaining accurate care records and following safety standards

Guild Care was founded in Worthing in 1933 by visionary volunteers dedicated to supporting vulnerable individuals in the local community. Originally known as Worthing Council of Social Service, the organisation focused on alleviating poverty, isolation, and health challenges during difficult times.
