We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Residential Sales Negotiator with a genuine passion for property. This is an exciting opportunity to join our experienced, ambitious, and supportive team based in our Saffron Walden office.

We've been in business in Cambridgeshire for over 200 years. We are a privately owned, independent partnership and make buying, selling and taking professional advice easy, enjoyable and rewarding.

Founded in Saffron Walden 1825, we have grown to operate six offices across the region, providing expert advice on property, land, farms, fine art, tractors, and steam engines, alongside hosting regular auctions across these divisions.

What will you be doing?

Providing a professional and welcoming service to clients while working closely with colleagues. The role includes arranging and conducting viewings, negotiating sales, generating business opportunities and managing client enquiries. You will build strong relationships with vendors and buyers, offering expert guidance throughout the sales process to help achieve the best possible outcomes.

Main purpose/scope of the role:

Arrange and coordinate property viewings, accompanying when necessary, ensuring appointments are scheduled efficiently and tailored to prospective buyers' or tenants' requirements.
Provide timely and detailed feedback to clients following viewings, keeping them fully informed of market interest, viewer comments, and any potential opportunities. Maintain regular communication to support informed decision-making and deliver excellent customer service.
Manage enquiries via telephone, email, and face-to-face interactions, responding promptly and professionally to customer queries. Build positive relationships with clients, applicants, and colleagues, ensuring a high standard of customer care and effective communication at all times.

Working hours: full-time, Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm, plus Saturdays on a rota basis, 9.00am – 4.00pm with a day off in lieu.

What will it take to be successful?

Previous experience in an Estate Agency firm, but not essential
Self-motivated individual who enjoys working as part of a team
Enjoy a varied, busy and rewarding role, with the ability to organise themselves and their workload to meet multiple deadlines
Good IT skills and enthusiasm for embracing ever changing and advancing technology
Welcoming and passionate about providing a high level of customer care to our clients
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
Ability to establish strong interpersonal relationships with team members
Full UK Driving Licence and use of own vehicle, which is insured for business use
