Overview

We are seeking an accomplished and professional Commercial Solicitor with with 4 + years PQE to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a solid understanding of IT systems relevant to legal practice. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, providing expert legal advice and support on commercial matters. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing a variety of legal tasks, ensuring compliance, and fostering positive client relationships. The firm is happy to consider a candidate who would like to work full time who would be willing to take on residential matters also.

Duties will include:

Buying and selling commercial property
Commercial leases and licences
Property finance transactions
Development work
Options agreements
Pre-emption agreements
Overage agreements
Landlord and tenant matters
Providing clear and concise legal advice on commercial transactions, compliance issues, and risk management.
Conducting legal research and staying updated on relevant legislation affecting commercial activities.
Liaising with clients, stakeholders, and external legal professionals to facilitate smooth contractual processes.
Ensuring all legal activities adhere to organisational policies and regulatory requirements.
Dealing with banks and financial institutions and their requirements for mortgaging properties

Skills

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly and effectively.
Confident managing their own caseload independently
Has experience supervising or helping to develop a team
Wants to play a key role within a growing and supportive firm
Enjoys business development and networking
Proficiency in IT tools utilised within the legal sector, including document management systems and legal research platforms.
Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail in drafting and reviewing documents.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Sound understanding of commercial law principles and practices.
