Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Night Shift Retail Assistant to join our team. This role involves overseeing store operations during the overnight hours, ensuring the smooth running of daily activities, maintaining visual merchandising standards, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, leadership qualities, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Previous supervisory or administrative experience is preferred, along with proficiency in relevant design and organisational tools. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their retail management skills while working during night hours.

Responsibilities

Supervise store operations during the night shift, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and accurately
Oversee stock replenishment and visual merchandising to maintain attractive displays
Assist with inventory management and stock organisation using organisational skills and attention to detail
Provide exceptional customer service to late-night shoppers, addressing queries and resolving issues promptly
Lead and motivate team members working during the shift, demonstrating leadership and organisational skills
Utilise Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator for creating promotional materials or visual displays as needed
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the store environment in accordance with health and safety standards
Support administrative tasks such as reporting sales figures, managing schedules, and updating records

Qualifications

Proven supervising or leadership experience within a retail environment
Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities
Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator is desirable
Multilingual abilities are considered an advantage for engaging with diverse customers
Previous experience in merchandising and stock management is preferred
Administrative experience demonstrating attention to detail and organisational competence
Ability to work independently during night hours with minimal supervision
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
