Full job description

Principal Objective:

As part of the production team, carry out various tasks using automated lines and manual procedures to ensure a wide range of products are filled and packed ready for dispatch while always ensuring excellent product quality.

Key Tasks (Specific):

1. Operate a variety of production line equipment and machinery efficiently and safely in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

2. Carry out packing duties which includes packing a variety of different products into outer boxes and labelling the products ensuring that the information is accurate.

3. Highlight and report any maintenance, product, safety or quality issues to management immediately.

4. Ensure paperwork is completed and relevant information is correctly recorded.

5. Clean and record cleaning duties carried out in the respective work area according to food safety policies.

6. Work closely with fellow colleagues to build and maintain good working relationships and exchange knowledge to enhance your own working performance.

7. Assist in the training of new colleagues as and when required.

8. Maintain standards of health and safety, and hygiene in the workplace, ensuring compliance with guidelines/policy.

Key Tasks (General):

1. To observe and conform with all company policies and procedures.

2. To assist and support the (line manager) in the delivery of their respective plans, as reasonably requested by them.

3. Proactive and enthusiastic contribution to all aspects of the Rainbow Dusts day to day functioning

4. Responsible for the quality, legality and food safety through the compliance of company procedures.

5. To be an effective ambassador for both the Rainbow Dust brand and business

Person Specification:

Experience of working in a food production environment
Good oral and written communication skills.
Good level of numeracy and literacy.
Strong team working skills.
Enthusiastic, positive ‘can-do’ attitude
The ability to concentrate and work accurately and maintain a key eye for detail whilst undertaking repetitive tasks.
Excellent timekeeping.

Working Hours: 8am - 4pm Mon-Thursday, 8am - 1:30pm Friday

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
