Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our small company. ensuring accurate financial records and supporting smooth business operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with Sage accounting software programmes and a strong understanding of accounts payable processes.

Duties

Manage and maintain accurate financial records using recognised Sage accounting software
Process accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently and accurately
Reconcile bank statements and ensure all financial data is correctly entered into the system
Assist with preparing financial reports and statements as required
Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
Maintain organised filing systems for financial documents and correspondence
Collaborate with external accountants during audits or financial reviews
Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal policies

Experience

Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar finance role, preferably within small to medium-sized organisations
Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, is essential
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general ledger management
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities effectively
Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members and external partners

This position offers a flexible schedule suitable for individuals seeking part-time employment based on a temp to permanent basis.
