Full job description

We are currently looking for a Permanent Evening Cleaning Operative to clean a site in Cambridge, Granta Business Park, CB21 6GQ area.

Job involves general cleaning duties, such as cleaning Offices/Meeting rooms, toilet & Kitchen areas to site specification.

Previous cleaning experience preferred but not essential as training will be given.

Start Date- ASAP.

Mon-Fri

5:30pm-8pm

£13.45 per hour

12.5 Hours Weekly.

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Cleaning Operative to join our professional cleaning team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness across various commercial premises. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and experience in janitorial services to contribute to a clean and safe environment. Prior commercial cleaning or janitorial experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided.

Duties

Perform thorough cleaning of commercial spaces, including offices, retail outlets, and industrial sites, using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies.
Ensure all areas are hygienic, tidy, and well-presented in accordance with company standards.
Handle waste disposal efficiently and responsibly.
Maintain cleaning equipment and report any faults or repairs needed promptly.
Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to ensure a safe working environment.
Adhere to scheduled cleaning routines and complete tasks within designated timeframes.
Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and toilet roll as necessary.
Assist with specialised cleaning tasks when required, including carpet cleaning or window washing.

Qualifications

Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and efficiently without supervision.
Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
Reliable with a strong work ethic.
Physical ability to perform cleaning duties, including lifting light equipment and standing for extended periods.
