Job Summary

Join our vibrant charity shop team as a Volunteer and make a meaningful difference in your community! In this rewarding role, you will assist with daily shop operations, provide excellent customer service, and support the overall mission of the organization. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a welcoming environment for shoppers while contributing to vital charitable causes. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop new skills, meet diverse people, and be part of a passionate team committed to positive change.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and offer assistance to enhance their shopping experience
Operate cash registers, handle transactions accurately, and process donations efficiently
Organize and display donated items attractively to encourage sales
Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the shop floor and storage areas
Assist with stock management, including sorting, pricing, and shelving donations
Provide administrative support such as recording donations or updating inventory records when needed
Promote awareness of the charity’s mission and upcoming events to engage community support

Experience

Previous customer service experience is advantageous but not essential; enthusiasm and a friendly attitude are most important
Basic IT skills for operating cash registers or updating simple records
Administrative experience helpful for managing donations or stock logs
Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment with a positive outlook
Willingness to learn about the charity’s goals and contribute proactively
