Job Overview
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 1 Night Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating flatbed lorries during night shifts, delivering goods efficiently and on time. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers with a focus on commercial driving and delivery operations. The ideal applicant will demonstrate strong driving skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to manage deliveries with precision.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a flatbed HGV Class 1 lorry during night shifts, adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies
Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure roadworthiness and compliance
Load and secure goods onto the flatbed lorry, ensuring proper handling and safety during transit
Deliver goods to designated locations efficiently, maintaining accurate delivery documentation
Follow planned routes and schedules to meet delivery deadlines
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
Report any vehicle issues or incidents promptly to management
Comply with all legal requirements related to commercial driving and transportation regulations

Qualifications

Valid HGV Class 1 licence with a clean driving record
Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed lorries or similar vehicles
Delivery driver experience is highly desirable
Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for commercial vehicles
Ability to work independently during night shifts with minimal supervision
Good organisational skills and attention to detail
Physically fit to handle loading/unloading tasks and secure cargo effectively

This role is ideal for experienced drivers seeking a night shift position that values safety, reliability, and professionalism.

Pay: £16.50 per hour
