Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Shop Floor Assistant to support our manufacturing and retail operations. The ideal candidate will be organised, possess strong leadership qualities, and have experience in administrative and visual merchandising tasks. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their skills within a dynamic environment, contributing to the smooth running of daily operations on the shop floor. The position is paid and suitable for those eager to gain practical experience in a fast-paced setting.

Duties

Assist in supervising daily shop floor activities, ensuring operational efficiency and adherence to safety standards
Support merchandising efforts by organising displays and maintaining visual presentation standards using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
Coordinate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks and maintain organisation of stock and materials
Oversee the organisation of products, ensuring accurate placement and stock levels in line with merchandising plans
Assist with administrative tasks such as updating records, preparing reports, and managing schedules
Contribute to team leadership by guiding new staff members and fostering a collaborative working environment
Manage time effectively to prioritise tasks, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality
Support multilingual communication within the team or with clients as needed

Skills

Proven supervisory or leadership experience with strong organisational skills
Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator for visual merchandising and promotional material creation
Multilingual abilities are highly desirable to facilitate effective communication across diverse teams or customer bases
Excellent time management skills, capable of prioritising multiple tasks efficiently
Strong administrative experience, including record keeping and report preparation
Knowledge of merchandising principles to optimise product presentation and sales impact
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to develop their supervisory skills whilst contributing positively to our team.
