Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to animals while supporting veterinarians in various clinical tasks. This position requires a strong commitment to animal welfare, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures.
Monitor anaesthesia and vital signs of patients during surgery and recovery.
Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian.
Prepare laboratory samples for analysis and assist in laboratory procedures.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all documentation is up to date.
Provide nursing care for hospitalised animals, including feeding, grooming, and administering fluids.
Educate pet owners on post-operative care, nutrition, and general animal health.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the veterinary practice, including equipment sterilisation.

Qualifications

Relevant qualifications in veterinary nursing or an equivalent field.
Previous experience in a veterinary setting is desirable but not mandatory.
Strong knowledge of veterinary procedures and laboratory techniques.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
A compassionate attitude towards animals and their owners.
Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
