About us
Airbag Disposal UK and Vantage Waste Solutions operate within the automotive recall, hazardous waste, and recycling sectors, supporting complex operational projects across the UK and Europe.
We’re a growing, fast-moving business with a very hands-on operational environment. No two days are ever quite the same and we work in an industry that requires strong teamwork, adaptability, accountability and a good sense of humour.
This is a long-term opportunity within a growing operational business continuing to invest in its people, processes and operational infrastructure.
The role requires someone who can balance leadership, organisation and operational involvement whilst helping bring structure, visibility, accountability and consistency into an evolving operation.
This is a role for someone who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, leading from the front, and being genuinely involved in the day-to-day running of the operation.
The role
Role title: Production Warehouse Manager
Reports to: Operations Manager
Direct reports: Supervisors, Warehouse Operatives, Disposal Technicians
This is a hands-on operational leadership role responsible for overseeing daily warehouse and production activities, managing operational teams, and maintaining high standards across planning, communication, accountability, safety and performance.
The successful candidate will work closely with operational management and SLT to support productivity, operational efficiency, compliance and continuous improvement across the site.
We’re looking for someone who can bring structure and calm into a busy operational environment whilst still being practical, approachable and hands-on when needed.
This role requires somebody comfortable taking ownership, making operational decisions independently, and maintaining visibility and control across a busy and evolving operation.
This is not a purely office-based management role. The successful candidate must be comfortable operating both on the shop floor and within the operational planning and management side of the business.

What we’re looking for
- Previous experience within warehouse, production, manufacturing, waste, or operational management
- Strong leadership and people-management capability
- Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
- Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and professionally
- Comfortable managing operational pressures and competing priorities
- Strong accountability and follow-through
- Ability to proactively identify issues before they escalate
- Confident making operational decisions independently
- Comfortable using operational systems, spreadsheets, reporting tools and digital communication platforms
- IOSH qualification preferred
- FLT licence desirable
- Full UK driving licence preferred
The kind of person who’ll do well here will be:
- proactive rather than reactive
- calm under pressure
- highly organised
- practical and solutions-focused
- confident leading teams whilst remaining approachable and grounded
- comfortable maintaining standards, addressing underperformance, and having direct but professional conversations where needed
- able to adapt quickly in a fast-moving operational environment
- able to balance hands-on operational involvement with structure, organisation and visibility
- comfortable taking ownership and leading within an evolving operational environment
- someone with a good sense of humour who can build positive working relationships whilst still maintaining standards and accountability
