Full job description

We are currently looking for a Full Time Care Home Cook to work as part of our team within our luxurious residential home. We can offer excellent training opportunities and development with career progression within our company.

*Planning and providing a varied, fresh well-balanced, nutritious and flavorsome meals using seasonal, high-quality ingredients. for the residents alongside our other cook.

*Create homemade baked goods for resident coffee mornings, offering both traditional and health-conscious options

* Willing to work to undertake any relevant qualifications.

*Basic food hygiene certificate.

*Maintain accurate records of food supplies, including, menus, and freezer / fridge temperatures and cleaning schedules.

*Ensure stock rotation. Order stocks and check deliveries, and check and value stocks as required by the Home Manager.

* Flexible to the needs of the Home.

*Two week rolling rota 35 hours a week 10-hour shifts with alternative weekends.

* Good clear communication skills.

You will be:

Passionate about healthy, home-style cooking that supports the needs of older adults
Experienced as a Cook, (care home experience beneficial but not essential)
Qualified with Food Hygiene / Food Safety Certificates (or working towards them)
Confident preparing balanced meals for diverse dietary, clinical, and texture-modified needs
Creative and organised, able to run a kitchen independently and efficiently
