Full job description

4 Construction Management Ltd (4CM) is a young, fast-growing construction company delivering refurbishment, fit-out and maintenance projects across the commercial and retail sectors. Our pipeline is getting stronger and new work streams are opening up — so we're hiring an experienced Senior Project Manager to take ownership of their own stream of projects in the Midlands.

The role

You'll take projects from estimating handover through to completion and O&M — owning the programme, the site team, the subcontractors, health & safety and the budget. This is a senior position with real autonomy: provided work is delivered safely, on time and on budget, how you run your projects is largely down to you. We also want a senior voice who'll help shape and improve the way we deliver.

What you'll be doing

Managing your own projects day to day — site, operatives and subcontractors
Programming, sequencing and keeping projects on track against the programme
Ordering materials and plant, and coordinating trades
Controlling costs against budget and protecting margin
Submitting variations and managing change
Owning health & safety on site to a standard that scores well with external inspectors
Reporting weekly and attending on-site client meetings

What we're looking for

5+ years' project management experience in commercial & retail fit-out or refurbishment
SMSTS and CSCS (essential)
Confident with MS Project and good with numbers — budgets and cost control
Working knowledge of JCT contracts and fit-out
Organised, computer literate, reliable and loyal
Based within reach of the Midlands, with own transport

Nice to have: First Aid, HNC / NVQ.

£50,000 – £70,000 depending on experience

The working week

This isn't a 9-to-5 — like most commercial contracting, it's a bit more of a lifestyle. Expect to be on site for 8am, with an earlier finish on Fridays. You'll come into our Liverpool HQ around once a week or fortnight.

Pay: £50,000.00-£70,000.00 per year
